Every discussion about faster-than-light travel begins in the same place: the wall. The speed of light. The absolute limit built into the structure of spacetime itself. The reason Voyager 1, after nearly fifty years of travel, has barely begun to leave the solar system. This book does not pretend the wall does not exist. It asks a different question entirely: What if the problem is not the speed - but the geometry? Inside the Light Cone introduces SDEM (Sectorial Disformal Effective Metric), a matter-first theoretical framework for effective geodesic reduction. Instead of starting from an impossible warp geometry and asking what exotic matter might produce it, SDEM starts from a physically admissible scalar field and asks what effective geometry naturally emerges. No exotic matter.
