This colourful novel chronicles the personal journeys of a group of friends. Si navigates a fledgling relationship with his boyfriend Tony, whilst copy-typist Kate embarks on a romance of her own in the office. Meanwhile Mark quits London after being unceremoniously dumped by his lover and soon makes the acquaintance of the incorrigible Gladys Cox-Hardt - drag queen hooker and avant garde cabaret performer. Will their friend Gypsy ever be gainfully employed? Where is Danny's twin brother to be found and why are their lives soon to be run amok with supermodels and drag queens? Through a series of events their paths become further and further entwined leading up to a dramatic climax. Before the summer is out all of their lives will be changed forever.
