The Influence Of Old Norse Literature Upon English Literature is a book written by Conrad Hjalmar Nordby in 1901. The book explores the impact of Old Norse literature on English literature. Nordby examines the similarities and differences between the two literary traditions, and how they have influenced each other over time. He discusses the historical context of the Viking Age and the Anglo-Saxon period, and how the cultural exchange between the two societies led to the adoption of Norse myths and legends in English literature. Nordby also analyzes the works of prominent English authors such as William Shakespeare, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Geoffrey Chaucer, and how they were influenced by Old Norse literature. The book is a valuable resource for scholars and students interested in the history of English literature and the cultural exchange between the Vikings and the Anglo-Saxons.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
