An Indian Winter: Or With The Indians In The Rockies is a book written by James Willard Schultz and published in 1912. The book is a memoir of Schultz's experiences living with the Blackfeet Indians in Montana during the winter of 1889-1890. The author, who was also known as Apikuni, was a trader, hunter, and guide who spent many years living among the Blackfeet and other Native American tribes. In An Indian Winter, Schultz describes his daily life with the Blackfeet, including their customs, beliefs, and traditions. He also writes about his adventures hunting buffalo, elk, and other game, as well as his encounters with other white settlers and traders in the area. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into a bygone era and offers a unique perspective on Native American culture and history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
