Through poetry, one transposes to realms of latent feelings
thus exhibiting them in expressions of love, beauty or pain,
Sergio Antonio Morales González

When my brother returned from Vietnam, his world was not the same. The emotions, sweat, blood, and tears he shed on the battlefield changed his life. He struggled to figure out what his future held. While alone in his own world, he described thoughts, nightmares, and feelings he felt. He spent many years trying to share or have someone listen to his cry for help, but it was difficult. Thus, through his poetry, he expressed the love he found, the feelings he had hidden, the anger and hurt that was within him, the physical and emotional damage created by war, and the love of mom and family. These were the things he wanted to share, and I listened and promised he would be heard, and this is the outcome.

The poetry in this collection conveys a veterans' feelings on times of joy, sorrow, and indelible memories.
