Digitalisation within public authorities and organisations responsible for security is opening up new possibilities for assessing operational situations, as well as for the work of emergency services and coordination with the incident command centre. As part of a research project, a prototype has been developed that is capable of displaying real-time location data for objects and people within a mixed-reality environment. Specifically, the real-time position data was visualised by the HoloLens in the form of holograms of three-dimensional models such as squares, streets or neighbourhoods. The mixed-reality approach provides incident command with new communication capabilities. Communication interfaces were designed as part of the project. A contribution to optimal situation assessment using the latest communication and technology concepts.
