When Julia enters her new slave into the infamous Ludi Veneris - one of the Empire's most popular gang-bang entertainment shows, broadcast live on imperial television - Lydia's fate seems sealed.
Beyond the Mediterranean lies Africa - the only continent to resist Roman rule. But the path there is dangerous, and the Empire does not surrender its trophies without a fight.
