An exotic and exquisite tapestry woven with an intricate and a delightful blend of romantic, mysterious and fanciful threads and designs, The Image in the Water recounts the various episodes in the life of a not-so-ordinary woman and her far-reaching influence in the lives of many characters. It all started when Zela, then a young lady of twenty met and fell in love with a dashing, handsome man at the Governor's Ball and as usually happens in a love story, suffered heartbreak and grew despondent at what she thought was a case of unreciprocated affection, but fate was kinder than what she thought her to be. All went well for a time but when tragedy struck she began to doubt her faith until a miracle happened that made her vow to serve God in every way she could. Thus started a series of projects she initiated and accomplished through the help of friends and relations. As a result of these achievements she was awarded the rare and prestigious papal Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal in one of the grandest celebrations ever held in her town. Her various encounters with the fourth kind attest to her extraordinary perception, her indomitable spirit and complete trust in Divine Providence.
