Il Conte Ory is an opera buffa in two acts by Gioachino Rossini, with a libretto by Eugène Scribe and Charles-Gaspard Delestre-Poirson. The opera, a delightful example of early 19th-century French comic opera, tells the story of Count Ory's attempts to seduce the Countess Adèle.
