Inspired by a true story, Ickee Kitty: A Story of Bravery, Recovery, and Love follows a tiny sick kitten found on the steps of a veterinarian clinic amidst the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the two families who helped him heal, grow, and thrive.

The kitten's future looked grim until Doc Kelly, a dedicated veterinarian and the author's sister, stepped in. Through care, treatment, and unwavering hope, he began to heal. Named Ickee Kitty for his rough beginnings, he blossomed into a beautiful cat. Once strong and thriving, he found his forever home with the author's family, where he was loved by their children, played with the grandchildren, and bonded with all their animals, including becoming best friends with their cat, Junior Kitty. For over two decades, Ickee Kitty brought joy, companionship, and love, always at the heart of every family moment.
