Ollie Finch is not saying there is definitely a lake monster in Muckford Park Lake.
He is just saying there is a suspicious shape in the water, three weird bubbles near the reeds, several ducks acting guilty, and a blurry video that looks extremely historic if you believe hard enough.
Summer in Muckford has been boring until Ollie hears a rumor about a long-necked creature rising from the lake at dusk. His best friend Javi says it is probably a log, a shadow, or some other normal thing adults would believe. Tessa Bell, the neighborhood know-it-all, says Ollie needs facts, not duck vibes.

Ollie will get facts.
With a trail cam, emergency crackers, a whistle, possibly too much rope, and confidence that should probably be supervised, Ollie sets out to prove the Muckford Park Lake Monster is real. Soon the whole town is watching, the rumor is growing, and Ollie is finally becoming the monster expert he always knew he could be.
There is only one problem.
The monster may not be cooperating with the legend.
