In this laugh-out-loud picture book that tackles childhood fears with empathy and absurdity, a young boy is convinced there's a monster under his bed--but when he tells his parents, they're more scared than he is!

Bosse wakes up in the middle of the night, convinced he heard a sound under his bed. Could it be a monster lurking in the shadows? Terrified, Bosse dashes to his parents' bedroom for comfort. But instead of calming him, his parents are even more scared than he is and explode into a hilarious frenzy.

The sky-is-falling chaos only escalates from there. As they wake up neighbors and call the fire department and the police, each arriving adult even more terrified of the monster than the last. Amidst the hysteria, everyone forgets one crucial thing: no one has actually checked under the bed to see if the monster is real.

This laugh-out-loud tale will have readers giggling at the absurdity of the situation and the over-the-top reactions of the characters. It's a thought-provoking tale about how easily fear can spread like wildfire, without anyone taking the time to discover the truth.
