I feel that life, with its unexpected twists and turns, is a battlefield where fighting is not always the choice, but where resilience and adaptation make the difference between defeat and evolution. My story has been a journey of constant transformation, a transition between seemingly incompatible worlds, from the rigors of military life to a deep understanding of the human psyche.
But even a deep understanding of the mind didn't prepare me for the challenge that was to come. In 2024, a diagnosis forever changed my perception of life and myself: Alzheimer's with Lewy bodies. Suddenly, I became the protagonist of a process I had studied scientifically but never imagined experiencing firsthand.
Certainty transformed into uncertainty, and control became a daily exercise in adaptation.
This book is a testament to that journey, a before-and-after account of a story that redefined my existence. It's not just a story of loss, but also of learning, acceptance, and the struggle to stay present in every moment. Because, although my mind begins to blur the contours of reality, my essence remains intact, and my desire to share this experience is more alive than ever.
