He waved goodbye to his mother. He heard the tires turning on the sandy pavement, the engine accelerating. He didn't look back. Ever since he was ten years old, Jack dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. He couldn't remember when the dream first appeared or explain where it came from, it just appeared and became him. He worked every Saturday for the local veterinarian, Dr. Al Friedlander. He loved the farm calls the most.

In high school, he struggled to succeed. His parents sent him to Cheshire Academy where a civil war photograph of a teenage boy changed his life.

After graduating from veterinary school, he moved to Los Angeles where his life fell apart. Feeling lost and asking for help, he was directed by his spirit guide to leave his failed life in Los Angeles for a new beginning in Vermont where he embraced the divinity in nature and his connection to The One.
