What if you could be a teenager again, just for one night? HORIZON, the acclaimed debut from one of Japan's most daring new manga voices, arrives in English for the first time in a complete single-volume edition.
Mieko Fujiwara is a burnt-out office worker nearing the end of her twenties. After observing a group of carefree teens and longing for the life she used to have, Mieko drunkenly puts on her old school uniform and heads to the park, hoping to recapture even just the tiniest bit of who she used to be. Once there, she has a chance encounter with an impossibly handsome young man that will change her life forever.
Currently serialized in Young King BULL (Shonengahosha), HORIZON is a striking debut from a fresh voice in seinen manga, with art and atmosphere drawing immediate comparisons to Inio Asano (Goodnight Punpun) and Shuzo Oshimi (The Flowers of Evil). A nuanced, thoughtful story that explores adulthood, the nature of reality, and other themes that will appeal to mature audiences looking for something new and different.
