History of Rutgers College: Or An Account of the Union of the Rutgers College is a historical book written by the trustees of Rutgers College in 1833. The book provides a comprehensive account of the establishment and development of Rutgers College, one of the oldest colleges in the United States. It covers the college's founding in 1766 as Queen's College, its early struggles, and its eventual growth into a prestigious institution of higher learning. The book also details the various changes and reforms that the college underwent over the years, including its merger with the College of New Jersey in 1825. The authors provide a detailed analysis of the role that Rutgers College played in shaping the educational landscape of America and the impact it had on the lives of its students and faculty. The book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of higher education in the United States and the development of Rutgers College as an institution of national importance. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
