Hell in a Handbasket

This is a story of a young man's dream of being a mountain man. Billy White was struggling with an adventurous spirit while working hard on his parents' farm. Wanderlust got the best of Billy and he left his old life behind, heading west to fulfill his dreams. Billy's travels take him through all manner of ventures and romances. On his way to the mountains, Billy's eye for women gets him in trouble more often than not. He travels on a flat boat, paddle boat steam ship, and horseback to get to the mountains as he heads west. He encounters new adventures at every turn.
