Heathen Bastards is a dystopian satirical black comedy novel. Set in a near-future society that has a subculture of extreme sex and violence, and no understanding of political correctness. The anti-hero, Sergeant (Vini) Mann, narrates his crimes both 'war' and youthful whilst awaiting a death sentence, and claiming innocence. He's a very unreliable narrator who relishes his own violent, reckless nature. Is he guilty of 'war crimes, ' or a mere pawn in a culture that creates soldiers like him?
