My name is Harrison Hawk. I have had numerous adventure stories in mountains, primarily in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Most were amazingly wonderful experiences in picturesque scenes of the high country, with diverse vegetation, and wildlife but there were many other adventures where I was fighting for my life against Mother Nature and all of its mighty power.It started getting very steep so I had to drop my body and slide down the loose soil... but as I was sliding down, I noticed a wide slab of granite ahead of me and beyond it was a huge drop of about 100 feet. I quickly turned onto my belly and, still sliding, I knew I was going down possibly to my death.
