Hilary can't remember her past, but that doesn't mean it can't come back to haunt her. She lives secluded in the forest with 13 other girls who all share a common gene that gets activated at puberty. These girls begin a cycle...but not a menstrual cycle like most girls. Instead, they start a werewolf cycle. Whichever phase the moon was in at their first change is the phase they are now linked to. From sundown to sunrise during this phase every month, they become a wolf.Hilary loves the freedom and belonging she gets from being a part of the werewolf pack, and she loves helping new changers like Maria come to realize all of the amazing things this new life has to offer. But then Maria's brother Al comes looking for her, and that becomes the catalyst that uncovers dark secrets, horrible monsters, and a truth about Hilary that could end the lives of everyone she loves. Hilary must search for her lost memories in order to find the powerful light that could defeat not only the terrifying beast that threatens her pack, but the darkness inside herself as well.
