An Echo and Grow Stage 1 Book
Do you have a child who loves repeating favorite lines, phrases, or scripts from shows and books? This children's book was made for them.
Meet Benny, a determined little bunny who wants to do everything on his own, and Milo, a patient giraffe with a big heart who is always nearby, ready to help when Benny is ready to ask.
Written with gestalt language development and gestalt language processing (GLP) in mind, this Stage 1 Echo and Grow book uses playful, repeatable phrases that support children who use echolalia as part of their natural language development. The language in this story is designed to be meaningful, engaging, and easy for children to echo during shared reading.
This neurodiversity-affirming children's book supports:
- Children who use echolalia to communicate
- Early language development and emergent literacy
- Connection-based learning through joint book reading
- Confidence, communication, and relationship-building
Caregivers, educators, and speech-language pathologists (SLPs) will find gentle, educational insights woven throughout the story, helping adults better understand gestalt language development while honoring each child's unique communication style. This book is ideal for homes, classrooms, therapy sessions, and inclusive learning environments.
Come along as Benny learns a lesson that echoes for all of us: Asking for help is brave and friendship makes everything possible.
