DAIN VEZNIK arrives in the concrete sprawl of Harrow Lake, USA, with nothing but a backpack and a past he refuses to return to. He moves in with a friend into a shoebox apartment in one of the city's forgotten corners-a crumbling block known as the House of Movement. It isn't much. But it's his.

He finds work. Pays the rent. Starts to feel almost normal. Almost safe. That's when he meets Regan, the girl from the fifth floor. Wild in all the wrong ways. Dangerous in all the right ones.

But while Dain begins to breathe again, something inside the House of Movement is taking shape.

A janitor vanishes mid-shift.

A conman disappears behind a locked door.

A delivery driver is swallowed by an empty elevator shaft.

For now, Dain stands outside it.

That won't last.
