The Horses of Ra is a paranormal fiction / romance set mostly in the modern world, yet spanning across centuries. Its main protagonists are a supernatural race of humans called the Volora, along with a host of human characters and, of course, the horses. Named after the Egyptian God Ra, the God of the Sun, the horses of Ra are giant, flaming creatures that can fly across the sky and use their energy to heal humans, as well as destroy evil, wherever it may lurk. In this story, the evil takes the form of the Incubus, ghost like creatures that delight in possessing the humans and destroying life. The Volora warriors, together with the horses, are called upon to help the humans fight off the evil, which has taken a firm hold in modern society. Eradicating it might require more than the warriors have bargained for... Principal themes explored in this tale are human relationships, love, prejudice and the true meaning of happiness.
