Freda Weaver was born in Bollington, near Macclesfield, Cheshire, where she has spent most of her life. In 1994 Freda began to lose her sight and had lost it entirely by 2000. Despite this and her severe deafness, Freda continues to live a full and independant life. Her computer is an invaluable aid as she puts her thoughts into poems and articles, some of which are included in this book. Freda has fond memories of Whitehaven, Cumbria, where her daughter lived and the poem 'Blind Memories' reflects that fondness. Freda is a regular attender at Tytherington Family Worship Church in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
