Whereas, We, the undersigned, have beoome the purchasers of the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chioago Bail Road, as set forth in the recitals in a certain deed to us as such purchasers as aforesaid, a copy of which said deed and the certificate of acknowledgment thereof is as follows, to wit: (See pages 53 to 62, for copy of Deed.) And Whereas, The purchase was so made by us in pursuance of an agreement by and between a majority in interest of the bondholders of the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne and Chicago Rail Road Company, and a majority in interest of the Stockholders of such Company, embracing a plan for the re-adjustment of the debt and stock of said Company.
