The book History Of The Russian Fleet During The Reign Of Peter The Great By A Contemporary Englishman 1724 is a comprehensive account of the Russian navy during the reign of Peter the Great. Written by Cyprian A. G. Bridge, an Englishman who was present in Russia during this period, the book provides a firsthand perspective on the development of the Russian navy and its role in the country's military and political affairs. The book covers the period from the establishment of the Russian navy in the late 17th century to the end of Peter the Great's reign in 1725. It describes the challenges faced by the fledgling navy, including the lack of experienced sailors and shipbuilders, and the efforts made by Peter the Great to modernize and expand the fleet. The book also provides insights into the political and social context of the time, including the rivalry between Russia and Sweden for control of the Baltic Sea, and the impact of the navy on Russia's relations with other European powers.Overall, History Of The Russian Fleet During The Reign Of Peter The Great By A Contemporary Englishman 1724 is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of the Russian navy and its role in shaping Russia's development as a major world power. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
