The idea that truth always triumphs over lies is one of the great frauds of history. We remain under the lie.
Let us not deceive ourselves: we Spaniards have behaved at times like an obedient and patient flock, and at others like a fierce and rebellious pack.
When, in sheep-like times, we were told: Pay attention!, Get in line!, we got in line. When we were told, give your life for this cause; we gave it. When we were told, vote for this king; we voted for him. When, after a fierce period, we were told, vote for the Dictatorship; we voted for it.

The point is that they make people believe they govern themselves, and thus they will allow themselves to be governed. Our problem is a problem of education.
