The author also shares his 24 years of military service - from Kargil to a United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Sierra Leone, West Africa, where militants held him captive. That moment of facing death inspired him to exchange his gun for a pen.Part Two describes the author's sacred pilgrimages across Bharatvarsha - Badrinath, Dwarkadhish, Rameshwaram, Jagannath Puri, Kashi Vishwanath, Ayodhya, Tirupati Balaji, Kumbh Prayagraj and many more - each a deep spiritual journey rooted in the Vaishnav Bairagi tradition.Part Three contains the author's heartfelt poetry in Hindi and English - verses of patriotism, devotion, and sacrifice born from a soldier's soul.The gun was in my hand.
