Phoolbasan Yadav is the pioneer of Self-Help Groups in India, and it is considered her most significant contribution to Indian society and the social justice system. She decided to climb up in life, no matter what comes. She decided to fight against all the odds, and that made all the difference. Throughout her life, we see that she has never compromised with adverse situations. This has turned her into an example to be followed; a story to be told.
