Shyam Babu - that is, Shyam Narayan Singh - was one such self-respecting, fearless freedom fighter and social worker whose contributions are largely overlooked by history. But those who write history do not know that the work done by such people, while building their legacy, may not be recorded in history books, but sooner or later, they find their place in the memories and hearts of the people.
