The book Henry Howard, Earl Of Surrey by Casady, Edwin is a biographical work that explores the life and legacy of Henry Howard, a prominent figure in Tudor-era England. Howard was an accomplished poet, soldier, and courtier who lived during the reigns of Henry VIII and his children, Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I.The book delves into Howard's upbringing as a member of the powerful Howard family, his education at Cambridge University, and his rise to prominence at the court of Henry VIII. It also covers his military exploits, including his service in the French Wars of 1544-46, and his eventual downfall and execution on charges of treason.Throughout the book, Casady examines Howard's poetry and its significance in the literary and cultural landscape of Tudor England. He also explores Howard's relationships with other prominent figures of the era, including his close friendship with Thomas Wyatt, another prominent poet of the time.Overall, Henry Howard, Earl Of Surrey offers a detailed and engaging portrait of a fascinating historical figure, shedding light on both his personal life and his contributions to the cultural and political history of Tudor England. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
