Hebrews was written to Christians under pressure to turn back from Christ toward what was familiar. Its answer is not merely that Christianity is better, but that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of everything that came before Hebrews: God Has Spoken in His Son follows the argument of Hebrews from beginning to end, examining how the author uses Israel's Scriptures, priesthood, sacrifices, covenant, wilderness generation, and promises to demonstrate the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ.
