I think poetry is one of the most beautiful forms of art. It's nearly impossible to fully communicate the millions of thoughts that run through our minds, but the closest way to successfully do so is through poetry and writing. Even the most negative of poems are intoxicating, and I love how they leave you thinking about all different aspects of the universe when you're finished reading. A good poem doesn't stop when I finish reading it, it continues to affect me and etches it way into my thoughts. A good poem will challenge your perspective on life, that's why I'm so in love with them. when I write a poem for my peers to read, it's based on the idea of seeing with new eyes, and absorbing the positive aspects of life, rather than the negative. People these days let insignificant events weigh down their days. If only we were able to let go, we would be so much happier
