Is divine healing by the laying on of hands the privilege and right of every believer today? What is the gift of laying on of hands? What is falling down and being slain in the Spirit mean?Is laying on of hands used to cast out demons? What is the doctrine of apostolic succession by laying on of hands? These important questions as well as many others noted Bible teacher and author Phillip E. Hopp addresses and answers in his seminal book Healing and the Laying on of Hands. Intended for ministers and lay-students of the Bible alike, Healing and the Laying on of Hands is an in-depth and scholarly look into the biblical origins and historical applications of the laying on of hands for healing, spiritual authority and Baptism (or filling) in the Holy Spirit. It is arguably the most comprehensive and intelligent analysis ever written on the subject of laying on of hands. As the consuming Pentecostal flame of the Holy Spirit is kindled and breaks forth into renewed power and anointing upon our generation, clothed in the glittering garments of great signs, miracles and wonders, there will be an increased need in the Body of Christ to understand this fundamental doctrine of the Church. Long regarded as the Queen of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit by some, laying on of hands is, when properly understood and ministered in faith, fragrant and rich with spiritual blessing for every believer. Healing and the Laying on of Hands cleaves asunder some of the fundamental errors and misconceptions of this important doctrine of the Church.
