To have Christian hope means to know about evil and yet to go and meet the future with confidence! Those beautiful words of Pope Benedict XVI are words that came to me as I read the collection of homilies put together by Fr. Emmanuel. That is because the homilies that you will have the joy of reading in the following pages are words of encouragement that help us to recognise our dignity as children of God and saints in training. It is true that every homily is intended to open up the Sacred Scriptures and allow the listener to recognise the God who invites us into a living relationship with Him. In this collection of homilies, Fr. Emmanuel has been able not only to delve into the complexities and nuances of the Sacred Scriptures but to also allow the relentless love of God to shine through. If you wish to be encouraged in your mission and vocation to holiness - then this is a great start! May the Lord continue to bless Fr. Emmanuel in his apostolic work, and may He also bless you who now begin that journey into the depths of God's love.
