Hayle's Map of Hidden Places, Book 2 in The Snorscombe series. Book 1 The Secrets of Snorscombe
It is not until Perrin Vale is walking down the aisle in a quaint little chapel in Gretna Green that he suddenly remembers his late father warning him to never go to Scotland. Although, he has no idea why it is unsafe for him to do so. Back home in the newly renovated hidden town of New Snorscombe, as Nelson and Barbara Vale, Perrin's son and daughter in law are decluttering his over cluttered home, Nelson stumbles upon an old notebook. The confused scribblings written inside explaining the danger of travelling over the border into Scotland and much more. The book tells of the existence of other hidden towns created by Laurence Hayle, (the magic man) the town's founder, and of the first ever secret post box, which can be used to communicate with them. It also tells of a map which shows the location of every hidden town. More worryingly it warns of a notorious gang The Blacks, and how the deal which was struck with a Winston Black is ending, meaning that New Snorscombe and the other towns built by Laurence Hayle are all in danger. What follows is not only a race against time to ensure that the newlyweds are safe, but it is also the beginning of much more................
