Following this description of method will be set down an enumeration of the benefits and advantages which this method of study enfolds, and may be expected to yield. Here reference will be made to issues and effects natural to result in the student's conception of human life, of religious logic, of intellectual clarity and energy and facility and breadth, of moral elevation and fire, and of professional leadership and freedom. There' will then be given, in conclusion, a second sample study, taken from a widely separate part of the Bible, and offering an entirely different Biblical style. A SAMPLE STUDY Luke xviii: 9-14 And he spake also this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and set all others at nought: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterous, or even as this pub-lican. I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I get.
