Caius Zip, the time traveller, arises on the coast of Carthage during the sinking of a Carthaginian quinquereme boat, in the second Punic War. In Cannae, he will fight as a sling thrower, lose friends and see the hell scenario of 80 thousand men killed in a few hours, learning about the monstrosity of war. Later, Hannibal sends the boy to Syracuse, to be an apprentice of Archimedes. In Syracuse, Caius will help Archimedes in his great inventions, he will know the Greek Theatre and witness the death of his dear friend, perhaps the greatest genius that humanity has ever produced. Then, Caius goes to Alexandria and knows a group of Chinese scholars who escaped from oppression of the emperor of China. A fascinating journey to the great civilizations of antiquity: Greek, Carthaginian, Roman, Celtic, Egyptian and Chinese. In a unique and exciting approach, this book can be used in the educational field to stimulate in young people the taste for Mathematics, Physics and History of Civilizations
