When a small but determined raptor named Razz joins the Fossil Ridge Raptors, he isn't sure he belongs on a real football team. He's fast...but not the biggest. Brave...but not always confident. And on his first day, things don't go smoothly-he trips during drills, bumps into teammates, and learns just how tough dinosaur football can be.
With the help of the Raptors' quarterback Slate, the lightning-fast Zip, powerhouse Crunch, defender Saw and his cousin Pearl, Razz begins to find his place on the team. He practices harder than ever, learns from his mistakes, and discovers a special move of his own-the Razzle-Run.
As the Raptors face their first game of the season, Razz must decide whether he's ready for the moment he's dreamed about his whole life. When the ball comes his way, everything he's practiced comes down to one play...
Will Razz earn his first FIRST DOWN and prove he truly belongs on the team?
This is the exciting kickoff to The Fossil Ridge Football Series which blends teamwork, courage, sports action, and lovable dinosaur characters perfect for young readers ages 6-10.
