Riley Brannigan has always been the class clown. As a matter of fact, her parents are professional clowns. When a new girl starts bullying Riley because clowns are creepy, our heroine finds herself in a new and difficult position. How should Riley respond? Her parents advise that she should follow the Code of the Clown, and always bring happiness to everyone. But how does she do that--and not get ridiculed or beaten up? Riley is forced to grow. She learns how to deal with a bully graciously--and without violence. Using her wits makes her wits get sharper, but she learns kindness as well. In this funny and heartwarming book, overcoming bullying is indeed possible. The solution Riley discovers may help her readers as well.
