The Gonbad-e Qābus is located in northeastern Iran and became a UNESCO Heritage Site in 2014. A duplicated inscription in Kufic style Arabic gives the tower's date as 1006-1007 CE and the name of the tower's builder, Qābus ibn Wushmgir. What it is not revealed is the reason for the tower's construction, since there is no evidence of its marking a burial site, and it remains empty and without any access to its top. This book critically analyzes the information, debunks theories, and suggests new conclusions about the ancient Persian tower.
