GOLF IS MURDER! Screenplay by Paul Smith Playboy and infamous U.S. golfer, PARLEY BROWN is found with his head bashed in by what appears to be a golf club on the 17th hole of the world famous Royal Melbourne Golf Course. MILES DRIVER, ex-homicide detective turned golf pro. is about to hit off in his first professional golf tournament... The Australian Open. The last thing he or the PGA or Chief Inspector TEDDY BULLOCK needs is a murder on their hands. Especially when the suspects include his girlfriend the beautiful, sexy, vice-squad cop CLARE SOMERVILLE, Scottish caddie SPIDER WALKER, a powerful Melbourne crime family and a dozen or so of the world's top golfers. The tournament must go on and DRIVER has only until the end of it to find the killer or be killed. Golf is the fastest growing sport (being watched & played) in the world and the murder/mystery genre is outselling all others... combine the two and it's a sure-fire hole in one! GOLF IS MURDER will introduce the concept of the golf/murder thriller to the world and it is our belief the world will go crazy over it and want to get involved in every way in the next production, THE ZEN-GOLF MURDER. COMMENTS ON PAUL SMITH'S TRANSLATION OF HAFIZ'S 'DIVAN'.It is not a joke... the English version of ALL the ghazals of Hafiz is a great feat and of paramount importance. I am astonished. Dr. Mir Mohammad Taghavi (Dr. of Literature) Tehran.Smith has probably put together the greatest collection of literary facts and history concerning Hafiz. Daniel Ladinsky (Penguin Books author). Paul Smith is a poet, author and translator of over 80 books of Sufi poets of the Persian, Arabic, Urdu, Turkish, Pashtu and other languages... including Hafiz, Sadi, Nizami, Rumi, 'Attar, Sana'i, Jahan Khatun, Obeyd Zakani, Nesimi, Kabir, Anvari, Ansari, Jami, Khayyam, Rudaki, Mahsati, Nesimi, Baba Farid, Yunus Emre, Mu'in, Bulleh Shah, Shah Latif and many others, as well as poetry, fiction, plays, children's books, biographies and screenplays. amazon.com/author/smithpa Published by New Humanity Books
