John has always been able to talk to ghosts. He can see them too, but that doesn't mean he likes to. It lost its luster for him long ago. At least, until he met a new kind of ghost: a poltergeist, specifically. Sure, there's tons of stories about poltergeists, but there's all kinds of stories about everything, good and bad. While tragic,
it wasn't an extraordinary fact that Lona died young. But she had a lot of life left to live and she wasn't going to let a little thing like dying get in the way of living to the fullest. When she finally finds someone who can actually hear her, someone to talk to, she obviously wasn't going to let him walk away. Even poltergeists consider it rude to forcibly trap someone though, so she follows him home.
Now John has a new roommate. When he learns that she can possess dolls, the only idea crazier than letting her back into the world, is finding one that's fully human-sized, realistic enough to pass as one, and maybe even grow ever fonder of each other in the process.

Compelling plot. Believable world building. Realistic and and sympathetic characters. A mature subject, handled in a relatively tasteful way, and balanced out by good humour and comic relief. The author does a good job making you care about the characters' plights which is ultimately what you want in a story. - Newbage on RoyalRoad Taking a chance on a small new author is always a gamble. This one consistently delivers in every creative medium he's in. The stories are great, but so is his YouTube channel. It's nice to see this kind of passion from a creative type these days. It's easy to give up, it's hard to put yourself out there when nobody knows you & most likely nobody is going to give you recognition for a long time, if ever. I'd say he's worth looking at in that regard. 5/5 story & 5/5 author. ADTFrost on RoyalRoad I highly recommend this for anyone interested in a slice-of-life style story that has a little more meat on its bones. The characters have a certain depth and charm to them that make them easily relatable and lovable. (Honestly, Lona and Karen are the best.) The pacing is very forgiving and it is an easy thing to set down to continue reading later. It's very easy to get right back into the story without feeling lost and needing to backtrack too far, if at all. The humor is a little niche but it is certainly right up my alley so no complaints there. The organization and overall style was very interesting to track as you can practically map out the author's progress as he learned what he was doing and became more comfortable with his writing. It takes a few chapters to find his feet, but he does this rather quickly. The characters become more tangible and relatable in such a way that its a sheer treat for this reader to watch them grow into this amazingly complex cast. Admittedly, I did find the ending to this tale to be bittersweet, but it fit in with the themes present in Ghostly Bodies. The humor is still right up my alley and I know I've had my fair share of laughter and tears.
