Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Gypsochares catharotes is a moth of the Pterophoridae family. It is known from South Africa, India (Khasi Hills, Cherrapunji, Sikkim, Kumaon, Bhim Tal and Muktesar) and possibly Pakistan. The Pterophoridae or plume moths are a family of Lepidoptera with unusually modified wings. Though they belong to the Apoditrysia like the larger moths and the butterflies, unlike these they are tiny and were formerly included among the assemblage called Microlepidoptera.
