Each one of their executions is the description of a small adventure, as well as a familiar place, steeped in recollections and expectations. Whether it be an industrial plant, a town centre or a public housing district, located in a city centre, a suburban district or along the seashore, each design proves that to express an idea what is needed is not rhetorics but clarity.
Sebastiano Brandolini graduated at the Architectural Association in London in 1982, and at the Milan Polytechnic in 1986. From 1983 to 1996 he was editor of the Italian magazine Casabella. He is currently architectural correspondent of D - La Repubblica, the only Italian popular magazine featuring architecture on a regular basis. He acts as juror of the trans-national Alpine Architecture competition. He writes for many specialized journals and is particularly interested in the relationship between architecture and engineering. Over the years he taught at the Milan Polytechnic, at the IUAV in Venice, and at the London School of Economics.
Since 1994 he has been running his own architectural design practice(with Monica Valdameri). Among his latest projects: the redesign of a number of Hertz position in the Milan area and a major Leisure Centre in the Milan edge-city.
