Dumuzi descends at the season's turning. Geshtinanna follows. The gray country receives its first voluntary residents and discovers, in the receiving, what it has always had the capacity to be.
And then, in the second cold season, Inanna goes back: not for the gate, not for the judgment, not for the survival of the descent. She goes back for the ring she left on the ledge, and for what the ring was only the occasion of.
Both sisters have been carrying the same morning in different forms for three thousand years. This is the story of what happens when it is finally in the same room.
