Oreo leaps into battle mode, determined to protect the family. Penny immediately flees to her Royal Fortress under Olivia's bed-until the Beast invades her hiding spot. Olivia and Eloise continue reading, completely unaware of the heroic struggle happening right under their noses.
The Beast stomps through the house, getting louder, angrier, and closer. Oreo tries to warn the girls, but his meows are misunderstood. Penny becomes trapped in the hallway and dramatically declares that her life is over. Oreo attempts a daring attack, convinced the fate of the house rests on his skinny tuxedo-cat shoulders.
The two cats scramble for higher ground, regroup, and attempt to face the monster again and again, certain that Olivia and Eloise are counting on them for protection-even though the girls don't seem the least bit worried.
With dramatic misunderstandings, silly cat logic, and big-hearted bravery, Oreo and Penny turn ordinary cleaning day into an epic adventure.
