This is an honest, personal account of how the author's husband died three weeks after being diagnoses with pancreatic cancer. The pain isn't glossed over; neither is the help that seemingly appeared out of nowhere in all its mystery.
There is a journey through grief and it is a road much travelled. While no two people may experience exactly the same emotions or situations, psychologists have attempted to describe stages the process in some detail.
Here the author describes some of her own experiences as they relate to a variety of perceived wisdom gleaned from these experts and the ways in which God intervened and helped.
There are occasional illustrations and several poems written in some of those deep moments on the journey to the light at the end of tunnel - if there is a complete end.
This valley is to be walked through. It is not a permanent home and there is hope and life on the road ahead.
