There is no feeling quite so refreshing as capturing a fresh warm sweet glance into the life of a little girl enjoying growing a blackberry garden with the support of her best animal friends. When a pesky aphids family decides to move into Ellie's blackberry garden and eat up her blackberry plants, Ellie and her friends do everything they can think of to get rid of the voracious aphids. Until a tiny bold, cheerful ladybug by the name of Lacie stops by and bestows her aid in helping discard the garden of aphids. A warm fun twist, to end the story with a little science knowledge about aphids and ladybugs, Ellie is happy to say she has a healthy blackberry garden-enough to make her famous blackberry pie! The illustrations created by Chris Hammond provides beautiful eye-catching moments that bring Ellie's blackberry garden and friends alive while inspiring children to understand the authenticity of nature. Adding this book to your shopping cart begins the opportunity for your child to become friends with Ellie and all of her helpful animals' friends. This story provides early learners with reading, math, and science skills.
