This is Volume 6 of the complete works of Galen, edited by Carolus Gottlob Kühn. Galen (c. 129 - c. 216 AD) was a prominent Greek physician, surgeon and philosopher in the Roman Empire. Possibly the most accomplished of all medical researchers of antiquity, Galen influenced the development of various scientific disciplines, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and neurology, as well as philosophy and logic.
This edition, prepared by Karl Gottlob Kühn (1754-1840), is a comprehensive compilation of Galen's writings, invaluable for scholars of ancient medicine and classical history. It offers detailed insights into the medical knowledge and practices of the time.
